The need for public voices of science experts is not as new as we think. In 1909, journalist Nicolae Grigore Mihăescu (NIGRIM), published an essay arguing how necessary it is to involve reputable scientists to counter what he calls "science quacks".
Against the destructive river of the charlatans of science the enormous pier must be raised by the true and honest representatives of Science themselves.
The duty of righting the wrong is theirs, and the honour and greatness of a nation is due to them.
